The main intent of the project is to develop solidarity and promote intercultural dialogue among young people, in order to foster social cohesion in the European Union and to fosters mutual understanding through theatre-practice.
Main aims:
  • to encourage active participation and teamwork of young, migrants, political asylum seekers and refugees, theatre students and professionals, from four different Counties in Europe;
  • to experiment non-formal ways of learning to encourage their participation in public life and creating spaces for individual expression and social participation;
  • to fight stereotypes on migrants in public opinion;
  • to promote dissemination of theatre culture and art as a mean to foster intercultural dialogue.

  • An intercultural theater workshop with participants from four intercultural groups of four different European countries. Main topics: migration, political asylum, human rights and how these issues are organized and seen in the four countries.
  • A meeting in Poland of the four partners to organize and create a collective theatre performance on the themes of the project.
  • An intensive theater workshop hosted by the Centrum Promocji Kultury in Warsaw, to conclude the project with a huge performance interpreted by 28 participants-actors from different cultural backgrounds.

The method of the intercultural workshops relies on the active participation of all group members at each stage of the project, on the partners’ professional competence and on the constant exchange between theatrical practical work and common moments of discussion on the main issues.
The choral work is led through:
  • theatre exercises on breath, voice and body
  • improvisation on issues related to political asylum, migration, racism, stereotypes on the “stranger” (realized with and without music and with and without words)
  • exercises towards creation and narration of stories
  • dramatization of the created materials
